The 10 Best Swimming Caps

This wiki has been updated 21 times since it was first published in February of 2019. Many competitive swimmers use a cap to reduce resistance when racing, but if you spend a lot of time in the water, whether training or playing, all the chemicals and sun can do a lot of damage to your hair. While no model is completely waterproof, limiting UV and chlorine exposure is worth the small investment, plus it'll keep long hair out of your face. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.

1. Swim Elite 2-in-1

2. Friendly Swede Long Hair

3. Soul Cap XL

Editor's Notes

February 13, 2019:

While the majority of swim caps on the market now are made of silicone due to it's superior durability over the traditional latex, and the fact that it slips on and off hair more easily, we included a latex option for those who prefer that ultra-tight fit, plus a few other material options to fit a variety of swimmers' needs. But the tops spots did go to silicone options including the Swim Elite 2-in-1 because it's a good quality thickness that will last and it's versatile unisex styling.

4. Aqtiv Aqua Spandex

5. Speedo Silicone

6. Tyr Latex

7. Sync Original Petal

8. Blue Seventy Thermal

9. Aqtiv Aqua Kids

10. Firesara 3D
