This wiki has been updated 29 times since it was first published in November of 2017. If "Jurassic World" taught us anything, it's that the only thing better than dinosaurs is ... bigger dinosaurs. These Lego sets allow you to recreate exciting moments from the movies, and little ones will love the ability to unleash their favorite dinos on other unsuspecting toys. Regardless of whether you're shopping for a small child or an overgrown kid, there's something here for everyone. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.

Editor's Notes

November 12, 2019:

Youngsters and adults alike who are big fans of both the Jurassic Park movies and Lego building sets are likely to love each and every one of these Jurassic World building sets. Each is created with extensive detail, much of which is true to the movie scenes, which you’ll want to act out once you’ve got any of the sets built. The manufacturer did an especially good job of replicating the movie characters’ faces (think Chris Pratt as “Owen” and Bryce Dallas Howard as “Claire”). Like with most Lego lines, each Jurassic set will complement the others well, as there’s not a lot of duplication.

Four exciting, relatively new sets come on board in this update. The Carnotaurus Gyrosphere features the fun, clear orb that will hold minifigs as they escape the hungry carnivore that towers over them. (Despite what we just said about little duplication among sets, there is some duplication going on here, as the gyrosphere also comes with the Indominus Rex Breakout and the Dilophosaurus Ambush. However, note that there actually isn’t any overlap with the included minifigs, the vehicles, or the dinosaurs.)

The T. rex vs Dino-Mech Battle gives builders all they need to stage a pretend nail-biting battle between the T. rex and the mechanical dinosaur, which has character Danny Nedermeyer at the controls. In a separate adventure, the human characters can also search for hidden treasure inside the Nublar volcano, which comes with an opening function.

The Baryonyx Face-Off is a great starter set for young Lego builders (aged 7 and up), with four minifigures made in the likenesses of Owen Grady, Claire Dearing, Danny Nedermeyer, and Sinjin Prescott. Many users appreciate the highly detailed interior of the Jeep’s trailer, which includes a bed and a computer workstation.

Last, but not least, the Triceratops Rampage features an egg-spinner amusement park ride (which actually spins when you push the button, and flings minifig riders in a circle), along with a collapsible fence that’s ready and waiting to be crushed by the formidable dinosaur. The heroes can pursue the escapee in their vehicle, with a hanging carrot as bait. (Bet you didn’t know Triceratops were herbivores.)

For some other fun themed sets, check out our rankings of Lego Minecraft sets, Lego City sets, and Lego Creator sets.

For safety, always follow the manufacturer’s age-related guidelines before giving your child any toy. Also, be sure to supervise children with their toys for a safe playtime.
