January 15, 2019:
If you've ever made mayonnaise using a bowl and a whisk, then you'll agree that blenders are the true, unsung heroes of most professional kitchens. And Waring is well known to be a top producer of most things culinary, especially including commercial power tools. In the middle of the pack price-wise, the Blade Pro KB500 is a great choice for your home or business that should last quite a long time, and the same can be said for the Torq 2.0. But don't stop there — you'll find nearly as many uses for the Quik Stik, if not more. In all seriousness, a handheld immersion blender may be one of the most useful tools you've never used in your home, and this 7-inch model far outstrips the average big-box-store immersion blender. The Xtreme is the perfect alternative to the notoriously pricey (and sadly, less-reliable) VitaMix, regardless of the latter's fame. The BB320S and B155S are both preferred by efficient, pro bartenders, in large part because their stainless bowls add a touch of class, and look just a bit better behind a bar. Plus they won't get stained by a couple rounds of Bloody Marys. The Big Stix and CB15V surely can't be overlooked — just imagine trying to make 8 gallons of salsa by hand — but, they require a huge initial investment, as well as specific training and safety protocols. So, they're somewhat limited to pro kitchens — almost no-one will need a 50-gallon blender at home. And if you want reliability, but don't have a huge budget, the WPB05 is a great and affordable choice.
