It’s hard to beat a Ninja for a well-designed, versatile blender with the power to create a variety of foods from smoothies to soups to dips to full-blown meals. In today’s update, we added in some newer models that incorporate useful and time-saving features. The Foodi Cold & Hot allows you to fix refreshing cold drinks and smoothies, but it also offers an 800-watt heating element that can actually cook foods. It’s great for coming up with hot soups, sauces, and dips, as well as melting cheese or chocolate for fondue.
For a model that can actually make freshly squeezed juice, look to the newly added Duo IV701, which features high-speed blades and a filtration system, and it also features a handy vacuum component that removes air to keep liquids fresh for up to two days. It’s outfitted with a user-friendly control panel that offers seven preset programs. The versatile Professional Plus brings you a pitcher, a 64-ounce food processor, and two single-serve cups, as well as three sets of blades that allow you to do things like crush ice as well as chop and puree fruits and vegetables. Each component attaches easily to the base and sports clearly labeled measurement marks. For a couple of tumblers and a food processor, but without the large pitcher, check out the Nutri Bowl Duo, which comes in handy for making everything from snacks to full-blown meals to desserts. It even does well with mixing up dough for bread or cookies.
Two tried-and-true models we've used for years and can recommend are the Professional Countertop and the Ninja Fit. The former, as its name implies, can be a frequently used fixture on your countertop if you drink smoothies on a regular basis. The pitcher is ideal for making two or more servings at a time, and the individual-sized cups come in handy for make-and-take breakfasts and snacks. The Fit is like a breath of fresh air when you want a portable model that doesn’t require the cleanup of a large pitcher with a large set of blades. Just pop the tumbler on the base and press down for a several seconds, and you’ll have a well-blended smoothie or milkshake. Swap out the bladed lid with the spouted one, and you’re good to go. For its size, it’s got a powerful motor and produces well-blended results that aren’t lumpy. Just don’t overfill it, which is easy to do, as you can have a small amount of splatter as a result.
