The 10 Best Tablet Pillow Stands
This wiki has been updated 25 times since it was first published in November of 2017. If you are planning on a mega binge watch session or some extended reading, studying, web surfing, or e-mailing, on your tablet, you may want to check out these pillow stands. They let you prop your device up on your lap for hands-free viewing and keep it at the perfect angle. A few even double as a cushion for your head, too, so you can get some rest while traveling. Editor's Notes
November 03, 2020:
We're pleasantly surprised to find that the Flippy now comes in an upgraded version with a storage compartment, ensuring that this Flippy Original With Cubby deserves the top spot. Like the older original model, it offers adjustability and comes in plenty of colors, as well as patterns with fun names like "Damask Me Again."
After some consideration, we kept the Padded Spaces Prop ’n Go Slim as a top choice, although it's worth noting that it could really use tabs to go with the grippers to keep your device in place. This lack isn't as much of an issue for those who sit still while surfing, but for those who tend to move a lot — or are jostled by kids and/or pets — this can become annoying.
Even though their names might suggest otherwise, The Book Seat and the Book Couch both function as handy tablet pillows, with the former being perhaps the more versatile of the two. It's also easier to carry, thanks to a top grab loop, and it was created to act as a travel pillow in a crunch. The Couch model has a more interesting design, if you take interesting to mean "off the wall." Not everyone will love this, but for those who enjoy something a little kooky, it's one to consider.
Finally, we added an upgraded version of the Thinking Gifts Monster, the Book Monster Deluxe. This newer model has zippered storage pockets, a feature not found on the old version, and comes in more colors and designs. The added strap for carrying it is a nice touch, as well.

Although tablet stands work well on hard surfaces, we like these pillow stands for comfortable reading and viewing in bed or on the couch. At this time, we’ve removed the LaziLife Bean Bag and Comfy Stand Khaki due to availability issues, but we’ve added the charming iBeani Floral. We’re impressed by its large grab loop as well as its squishy filling, and it comes in plenty of fabric choices for those who don’t love the floral look. As for top choices, we still like the Flippy Multi-Angle Soft and iProp Holder, since they’re easy to use and relatively portable. We selected the Prop ’n Go Slim, too. It is less of a cushion than many, but its memory foam base is a nice touch that keeps it cozy on your lap. Finally, we have decided to omit the “As Seen on TV” GoGo Pillow, which struggles to live up to its hype for the price.
