March 04, 2021:
It wasn’t a terribly eventful round of updates, as most of our previous picks continued to be great choices for the category. We did, however, windup removing the Rachel George and MyLifeUnit Dolphin Shape, as it looked like they weren’t available at the time of this update.
We added the Qxuji Mr-1150 to our list, recognizing that it offered impressive value, considering that it came with a simple tack puller and nail puller. Note that this model, like the C.S. Osborne Lifter, differs from most on this list in that it’s designed to go to work on the heavy-duty staples used in carpeting and carpentry, and less well suited to dismantling documents.
The Pacific Giftware Guardian Dragon – a jaw-style offering like the 1InTheOffice Claw and Hello Kitty Cute – is likely to make too loud of a statement for most. But, for those of us who are nerdy enough, it might make a nice desktop addition, or a good gift for a like-minded friend. Despite being a bit more elaborate than traditional models, it’s still priced quite reasonably, and if you’re really into the look, the company also offers a matching stapler.
If office supplies and stationary are a guilty pleasure of yours, we have plenty of lists pertaining to just that, which you may enjoy checking out. Feel free to look around, we’ve got everything from desk organizers to reclining office chairs.

Even while many offices and schools move away from paper in favor of digital tools, you'd be surprised how often a staple remover still comes in handy. Because there are staples of varying thicknesses and sizes used for everything from keeping documents together to securing carpet onto stairs, we compiled a list that had something for everyone. The majority of our choices are also easy to store in desk organizers.
If you work at an office that only needs to use one every once in a while, then selections like the 1InTheOffice Claw and Bostitch Easy should be just fine. Teachers and administrative assistants favor items such as the MyLifeUnit Dolphin Shape and Bostitch Professional for their expediency, while tools like the Swingline Heavy-Duty are perfect if you're routinely disassembling huge stacks of documents for scanning and copying.
The Swingline is also handsome and sleek, something that most office supplies can't claim. If you're the type who likes to accessorize everything, then the Swingline, Rachel George, and Hello Kitty Cute are all attractive choices that can suit those needs well.
The C.S. Osborne Lifter and Crain 126 are strong enough to handle rigorous tasks, like removing strong staples from furniture, carpet, hardwood flooring, and more.
If you plan on using a staple remover in a rough environment (such as a shipping warehouse), then our number one pick, the Acme United KleenEarth, is the way to go. Built to last using post-consumer and recycled materials and featuring precision-ground stainless steel, Microban antimicrobial technology, and soft, grippy padding, this hardwearing selection will last for years, with an unheard-of decade-long warranty to back it up.

Draymond Story To be clear, this company specializes in acrylic office stationary. So, although their gold and rose-gold offerings might strike you as high-end, you don't need to worry about their karat count. Still, if you're into the look, they could provide a budget-friendly way to add a bit of bling to your workspace. draymondstory.com
