The 8 Best Skateboard Ramps
This wiki has been updated 27 times since it was first published in January of 2017. If you want to master those kickflips, 10-80s, and other classic skateboarding tricks, you need a solid launchpad to get you up into the air. We looked for hardware that's rugged and stable and easy to assemble, most of which won't harsh your mellow with high prices, either. Young riders should only use these under parental supervision, and everyone should always wear the proper safety gear. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.

Your skill level will go a long way towards determining which ramp is best. Those who are very experienced can choose something big like the FreshPark Professional Quarter Pipe, OC Ramps Halfpipe, and Mojo Rails Quarter Pipe. All three of these are tall enough to give you plenty of air and are sturdy enough for riders of all ages. Of these, the FreshPark Professional Quarter Pipe is the only easily portable one because it conveniently folds up. The Mojo Rails Quarter Pipe has wheels so you can roll it from your garage out to the street, but at roughly 300 pounds, you aren't going to be picking it up or putting it in the back of a vehicle. The Ramptech Quarterpipe is a good choice for those who are ready to move past small ramps, but not quite ready for the above models.
For the beginners out there, we recommend considering the Ten-Eighty Skatepark Set, Ten-Eighty Micro Flybox, and Landwave Pyramid. All of these have a gentle slope, so they don't launch you too high, but still allow you to get comfortable catching a bit of air beneath your wheels. Plus, their lightweight and modular plastic construction makes them easy to bring to a friends house or the park. The Graw Jump Ramps G20 is low enough that it is suitable for beginners, however its slightly flexible platform and shape make it fun for experienced skaters too, as they can get a lot of air from it if they know how.

Not everybody has the luxury of living next to an awesome skate park. Luckily, with one of these cool ramps, you don't have to. Instead, you can create your own skate park anywhere you want. If you are looking for something that can give you a lot of air and will also allow you to practice stalls and other advanced tricks, then you definitely need to check out the Ramptech Quarterpipe, Mojo Rails Quarter Pipe, and OC Ramps Quarterpipe. If you are all about jumping over things, the Ten-Eighty Micro Flybox, Landwave Pyramid, Landwave LWR2, Graw Jump Ramps G35, Discount Ramps SK-905-4RK, Ten-Eighty Flybox Launch Set, and D6 Sports Quadbox can help you improve your skills in this area, as they are all designed to give you a good balance of launch and forward trajectory. We need to point out though, that Ten-Eighty Micro Flybox and D6 Sports Quadbox are intended for younger riders and beginners who aren't yet ready for very high ramps. Advanced riders will definitely appreciate the wooden construction of the Graw Jump Ramps G35, which gives it a nice flexing motion that provides you with a high and smooth launch.

Keen Kicker The transition threshold of most ramps is the most prone to damage and often the first point of failure, which is exactly why the Keen Kicker has a large galvanized metal plate protecting it. Crafted from birch wood, it can stand up to plenty of use, and countersunk screws should ensure nothing is sticking out to accidentally catch a wheel and mess up your launch. keenramps.com
