These specially-designed lights come in a variety of styles, from portable to stationary, to help you take better pictures when you don't have a camera person. Whichever kind you choose, you'll never have to worry about dim lighting ruining your shots, so you'll have more to share with your Facebook and Instagram friends or followers. Editor's Notes
January 16, 2021:
During this update we wanted to add a bit more variety to the list. Whereas last time the majority of the models we recommended were small, portable items that clipped onto a phone, this time we have added a few more stationary options. The UBeesize Live Stream is one such item, which has an extendable tripod for floor or tabletop use, as is the Elegiant EGL-02, which is intended solely for tabletop applications. The Aduro U-Stream Jr. Twins is another stationary light, however this one clamps into place. Generally, we preferred device agnostic models, but we still felt it worthwhile to include the LuMee Duo because it functions as protective case and light in one handy item. We have added the one for the various models of the iPhone 11, though it can also be found for older generation devices.

The selfie trend first went viral in 2013, and it doesn't look the their popularity is waning any time soon, so why not make yours really stand out with one of these lights. If you want something you can easily take on the go, perhaps in a clutch or your pocket, Qiaya Ring, Auxiwa Clip-On, KobraTech MiLite, Ourry Ring, and Palumma Clip-On are great options. The Amir 2-in-1 and Evershop Wide-Angle are also very compact and easily-carried models, but they take things a step further by incorporating a wide-angle lens into the mix, so you'll be able to get more of the background in the shot. They both also come with macro lens attachments for those times you want to take extreme close ups of subjects. If you are a vlogger and need something to enhance the lighting in your home studio, you'll want to take a look at the UBeesize Live Stream, which features an adjustable-height tripod and large eight-inch illumination ring, or the Yeyizu SF-10, which clips on to tables and desks.
