Editor's Notes

February 27, 2021:

Though there may not have been any amazing innovations in electronics organizers between the last time we updated this list and now, we still made changes to our recommendations for a variety of reasons ranging from availability issues to increasing the variety of styles.

One of our new additions is the Mizatto Tech Bag, which stands apart from all the rest of the offerings here due to its pouch shape. It also offers the most variety in carrying methods, as it comes with three straps, one to carry it by hand, one that can be wrapped around the waist like a belt, and one long enough to carry it over the shoulder or crossbody like a messenger bag. However, it is worth noting that some may find the inside looks a bit sloppy when packed full of stuff.

The Amatory BUBM US-EVA-L is another model making its debut this year, and we added it because we didn't have any others with a fully rigid shell in a similar size. We do have the Caseling Universal, which also features a stiff shell, but it has a considerably smaller capacity.

On the topic of a small capacity, we added the Luxtude Smartcase Slim for those who need something very affordable and only want to transport cables, memory cards, and the like. Sure you can shove a mouse or thick item in there in a pinch, though you'll only have a single compartment to place it in and you run the risk of damaging it because of putting too much stress on the seams.

February 14, 2019:

Chose an assortment of sizes and styles to suit different needs and preferences, from small organizers that can hold a handful of necessities, like the ProCase Accessories Pouch and Caseling Universal, to large-capacity options, like the Jelly Comb Cable Bag and Amatory Gadget. The Bagsmart Grey is relatively compact, but can accommodate a surprising number of items, and it has a convenient outer pocket for items you want to access quickly. The BUBM Travel is great for families or users who carry a lot of gear.

Special Honors

Bellroy Tech Kit The Bellroy Tech Kit opens wide like a clamshell to provide easy access to its various compartments. In addition to space for things like power bricks, cables, and mice, it also has a dedicated pen holder and a magnetic slip pocket for a battery pack. bellroy.com

Day Owl Cord Pouch The Day Owl Cord Pouch looks like a mini backpack, sans the shoulder straps. It works just as well for electronics as it does a multi-purpose bag for miscellaneous items, and it is made with a focus on sustainability, using only recycled materials. dayowl.com
