This wiki has been updated 30 times since it was first published in March of 2018. With its signature blocky style and open-ended gameplay, Minecraft quickly jumped from personal computers to a wide array of consoles and other electronic devices. Now it has even expanded into the physical space. With everything from pickaxes to plushies and action figures, you may be able to convince your children to put their screens down for a while and have fun playing in the real world. When users buy our independently chosen editorial selections, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.

Editor's Notes

February 17, 2021:

The universe of Minecraft continues to expand, and we made sure to add some new selections in order to reflect that.

A spin-off video game called Minecraft Dungeons was released in 2020, introducing new characters Hex, Hedwig, Hal, and Valorie. Fans of Dungeons can check out the Jada Toys Nano Metalfigs, which feature characters and creatures from the game, complete with armor and weapons. In addition to being collector's items, these minifigs can also be good for fans of tabletop role-playing games who want to either add characters from Minecraft into a pre-existing game like D&D or turn the digital world into an in-person game in their own way. The Lego Redstone Battle also features characters and monsters from Minecraft Dungeons, as well as a crafting table that can be used to "make" various included weapons.

We replaced the Minecraft Creeper 7" Plush with the Jinx Creeper Plush, a bigger version of the pixelated enemy with cleaner lines that make the design look more like the source material. This is a good choice for younger siblings who want to get in on the Minecraft fun, but aren't quite old enough for toys with small parts that pose a potential choking hazard.

We also replaced the Lego Nether Railway with the Lego Creeper Mine, which still features a working rail track but comes with hundreds more pieces as well as more interactive functions.

While the Transforming Sword & Pickaxe featured an innovative design, its hard plastic construction was a concern to many parents. We've replaced it with the Think Geek Pickaxe, which is made of EVA foam that is soft enough not to pose a threat to kids but durable enough that it shouldn't break apart, even if it is treated a bit roughly.

New to the list, the Comic Mode Baby Animals are compatible with the free Comic Maker for Minecraft app by Mattel, which allows creative fans to turn photos of their figures into digital comic books. The three-pack of cute animals aren't really meant to stand alone as the only pieces you have, but they can make a great addition to a collection. Each figure comes with two interchangeable faces and a piece of food.

September 30, 2019:

Since Minecraft is played by people of all ages, made sure to include options that are appropriate for young children, like the Creeper Plush, as well as items that appeal to older kids and teens, like the Mattel Card Game, which has strategic elements that board game fans young & old can master and enjoy. Since building is an integral part of the game, toys like Lego sets do a good job of capturing the spirit of Minecraft.
