The 7 Best Log Dollies
This wiki has been updated 25 times since it was first published in January of 2019. There are so many home and commercial projects that require hauling wood, but let's face it, that stuff is heavy. That's where these dollies come in. They take some of the effort out of moving even larger logs, so you can save your energy and sweat less. Keep in mind that no matter which you choose, you'll need to secure all loads properly to prevent any injuries. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.
Editor's Notes
February 20, 2019:
After some investigation, we decided to add those models that would help with moving logs as well as smaller pieces of firewood. For the former, the Timber Tuff TMW-16 and Notch Pro-Grade are durable, user-friendly options, and for the latter, the Readywares Waxed Canvas and the Sunnydaze Firewood Cart are both highly useful. It should be noted, though, that the Sunnydaze model is not as robust as some log dollies, so it's not the choice for taking abuse. We also decided to add the Worx Aerocart, which offers excellent flexibility but does require some managing of expectations. This means: if you have only one job to do all the time, you might want a more specialized tool; however, if you have many small jobs (you find yourself hauling small logs, and then lugging rocks, and then carting dirt, and so on), the variability offered can be extremely helpful.
