The 9 Best Ladder Hangers
This wiki has been updated 21 times since it was first published in March of 2020. Ladders can easily become a trip hazard and may even cause a serious injury when they are not stored correctly. Rather than leaving them on the garage floor or leaning against a wall, why not safely hang them on a purpose-built bracket or make use of overhead space? The models we've selected are suitable for a whole range of household items that are usually awkward to store. When users buy our independently chosen editorial recommendations, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.
Editor's Notes
July 09, 2021:
We made just a single change to the Wiki this round, and that was the removal of a pulley-operated lift from Racor. After much searching, it's actually a bit difficult to find similar pulley hoists that are big and sturdy enough to safely keep a ladder off the ground. Nonetheless, the rest of our recommendations, such as the dual Hi Port rack or straightforward Tchipie Chasstoo wall hooks, are both reliable and reasonably priced. For smaller stepladders, both the Little Giant and Racor PSM-1R are worth considering.

Keeping your garage or outbuilding organized is not an easy job. Due to the sheer size or bulky shape of many items, such as bicycles, lawnmowers, garden furniture and ladders, storage space is often at a premium. Thankfully, with a set of storage hangers, these items can be moved up from the floor and into a safe, convenient location, allowing you to maximize the capacity of the area in question.
If you are looking to secure just a single set of ladders then the Werner AC11, the Little Giant and the Racor PSM-1R are all compact enough to do the job without taking up too much space. The Racor LDL-1B uses a pully system, and is suitable for much heavier sets that would usually require two people to store them securely.
If you want to store more than just ladders, then a multi-purpose kit, such as the HyLoft 80842-10, the Ihomepark Hook, the Shepherd Hardware 8088E and the Tchipie Chasstoo all come with a variety of hook lengths and shapes, suitable for storing many different items at once. The Hi Port rack system is designed to hold two sets and is height adjustable, so it can be used for other long objects like surfboards and kayaks.
