There have been plenty of refinements made to most range lines, and the Frigidaire Gallery 3054US and Frigidaire Gallery G3060AF are among the top choices today. For something a little more commercial-grade, the Thor LRG3001U is a good choice, and the NXR SC3611 is even beefier, offering more BTUs than most others. The GE PGS930 is one of their top models, and if you can afford it, it's hard to beat, while the GE JGBS62REKSS is not terribly expensive, although it doesn't have a convection fan.
We also want to advise caution when looking at some seemingly popular brands out there. In particular, Samsung is notorious for inconsistent quality control and generally disappointing build quality, despite their on-paper appeal. If you decide to look for an LG range, you'll also want to be certain to do your due diligence, as not all of their models last as long as they look or feel like they should.

The Samsung model is wildly popular, and somewhat newly so — while there are some reports of poor craftsmanship, some professionals claim that's simply due to the massive number of units it's sold. The Cosmo is an interesting and inexpensive way to add a sleek, pro-grade appliance, although it's a much lesser-known brand. And if all you need is the range part (no oven necessary), the Thor cooktop is one of the best values.
