Dream catchers are typically handmade loops that contain a woven-in net, with items such as feathers or beads hanging down. They originated in Native American Ojibwe culture, were often hung over a baby’s cradle, and were thought to keep children from having bad dreams. Like wind chimes, they’re a popular decoration that can be placed either indoors or outdoors. In today’s update, we replaced the currently unavailable Bradford Exchange Dream Guardians with The Bradford Exchange Wolf Art, which has been made on a limited-edition basis and features the illustrations of award-winning artist Al Agnew. It’s got 14 feathers as well as shiny beads, a hand-painted medallion, and a decorative arrowhead that dangles from the bottom.
We also added in the So Cal Pro Unicorn, which comes in your choice of pink or purple and is sure to delight any little one who is partial to magical creatures, glittery accents, pretty flowers, and shiny beads. It’s well suited for a children’s room, as well as a party favor or a prize in a classroom treasure chest. It replaces the Dreams And Whispers Unicorn, which features a tiny size that many don’t anticipate prior to ordering it. The Artilady Ornament also joins the list, and this striking selection features a woven white sunshine design and is available with tassels in a wide variety of colors that include green, blue, orange, black, and gray, as well as multicolor options. It comes in an attractive brown gift pouch. It replaces the Betterdecor Handmade, which is unavailable at this time.
If you’re partial to vibrant décor, look no further than the Caught Dreams Rainbow and the H&D Fengshui Pendant, both of which incorporate every color of the rainbow, and the former of which includes more than a dozen feathers and five circles with bright purple webbing. The latter is made up of seven miniature nets, each of which bears a colorful crystal that creates a prism effect on the walls when the sunlight hits it. It’s also got a multifaceted bead on the bottom that creates even more sparkle. Note that for this item, many who purchased it mention that the chakra colors are in reverse order and that the red one should actually appear on the bottom. Many fixed this by simply removing the hook and bottom bead and reversing them.

There are many beautiful and distinct dreamcatchers, so we made sure to select a good variety that would appeal to different styles and needs. Those wanting something understated that will easily blend into most rooms will like the Mkono Macrame and the Caught Dreams String, with their earthy tones. Meanwhile, those wanting to flaunt their love of Native American culture loud and proud will like the striking Caught Dreams Rainbow and the statement-making Bradford Exchange Dream Guardians, one with its bright colors and the other with vivid imagery. Parents hoping to create a soothing environment for children who are afraid of bedtime may enjoy the Dreams And Whispers Unicorn, with the lovable, fantasy equestrian shapes.
