With our latest update, we added some of the most recent models in the world of Chromeboxes. The Acer CXI3 now features system memory of up to 16 gigabytes with disk space at 128 GB. We included on the list the previous version from Acer, the UA91, which is available at a lower price than the new CXI3. For lighter applications, such as internet browsing, the Acer UA91 still has value.
We also added the Asus N7068U for its strong processing power and high-quality hardware. While it's significantly more expensive than other options, those who have more demanding needs should consider this option.

You don't need the fastest hardware to run Chrome, so for basic usage, the HP Ultra Mini or G2 should suffice. If you're looking for something that can multitask or run more complex apps with ease, the Asus Chromebox 3 is a worthwhile option that isn't the most expensive. We've highlighted the N018U model because of its price-to-performance ratio. The Acer is a touch more costly, but it is even more powerful, and would make a powerful home theater controller. It also comes with a keyboard and mouse, so all you need to do is hook it to a display and it's ready to go. Also keep in mind that many of these are compatible with vesa mounts, so you can attach them directly to the back of some displays. If you need something a little more powerful or a device that can run another OS, there are a number of good mini PCs with a wider range of components.
