The 10 Best Bedroom Sets
This wiki has been updated 25 times since it was first published in January of 2017. Decorating isn't everybody's forte, and some people don't like to spend their spare time traipsing around stores manned by aggressive sales people. So we've rounded up the best bedroom sets on the market, each of which can streamline the process of furnishing your home, match a variety of preexisting pieces, and make you look like you have the eye of an interior designer. When users buy our independently chosen editorial choices, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.
Editor's Notes
August 04, 2020:
We have developed a few concerns about the overall long-term quality of the Poundex Louis Phillipe Queen and the Roundhill Furniture Imerland Contemporary, so we've removed them in favor of sturdier choices. We also removed the New Classic Furniture Timber City, which has become tough to find. But we still like both the Esofastore Modern Brazil Mid-Century and the 24/7 Shop At Home Janeiro II. These offer sleek, simple styling and are attractive without being garish or gaudy. They're also not exactly cheap, so we elected to add the Powell's Furniture Mission Bedroom in a Box. Although you'll need to provide your own bed frame, it's a good start for a relatively wallet-friendly cost.
If you're looking for something perhaps more eye-catching, the 24/7 Shop At Home Bellagrand remains a good choice, and we added the Furniture of America Alexis. The Bellagrand offers a sumptuous, antique feel with plenty of lavish touches, while the Alexis has a mid-century-modern-meets-industrial vibe.
Finally, to accommodate small rooms, we selected the space-saving Walker Edison Furniture Loft Workstation. It lives up to its name by giving you a desk and bed all in one, making it easy to study and sleep in the same place. There are safety rails around the loft for your peace of mind, but note that the user has to crawl over these to enter and exit the bed. For this reason, you might save this choice for sure-footed teens and adults rather than young kids who might be clumsy or careless.

Almost every offering from our previous list has encountered some form of availability issue since we last visited it, which necessitated a large overhaul in our selection. We tried to introduce a wide variety of styles this time around, with examples of everything from Victorian elegance to mid-century simplicity, each with an emphasis on build quality. Ease of assembly was important, as well, as the Ikea revolution has led many homeowners to believe that they have the skills necessary to put any furniture together, and has also led furniture manufacturers to decrease the complexity of their pieces.
Our top pick certainly has its style grounded in the mid-century movement, but its oblong drawer handles and deep walnut finish would make it a fine addition to almost any bedroom. People looking for something a little more ornate will appreciate the 24/7 Shop At Home Bellagrand, which boasts regal curves and very impressive staining that might do well in a room with some expensive Renaissance art on the walls.
Special Honors
Walker Furniture Capitola This relatively simple setup boasts a finish that looks intentionally inconsistent, fitting in nicely with a shabby chic aesthetic. It's made from a variety of Asian hardwoods that hold up well to years of use without costing an arm and a leg. walkerfurniture.com
Manhattan Home Design Tracy This five-piece set makes a decidedly attractive addition to any mid-century modern space. Its lines are thin and clean, and the edges of its platform bed don't stick out dangerously. The light cream color of its headboard does clash a bit with the rest of its darkly finished wood, however. manhattanhomedesign.com
Coaster Barstow Storage This particular collection is available in 4- and 5-piece configurations in queen, king, and California king sizes, so you can be sure to find the right mix to fit your sleeping area. Its rolled headboard is pleasing to the eye, but it does increase the amount of area the bed takes up. coasterfurniture.com
