This wiki has been updated 15 times since it was first published in May of 2020. Basket trucks are soft-sided, wheeled containers that are commonly used to store and transport bulky items, like laundry, packages, or other irregular objects that wouldn't fit in containers with fixed, rigid sides. This design also makes them relatively lightweight, so they don't take much effort to maneuver, whether you're using them for sorting mail or gathering dirty linens. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.

Editor's Notes

August 31, 2020:

Basket trucks can be incredibly valuable for the right job, and their open-top design not only makes them convenient for tossing items in and pulling them out, but also requires relatively little effort from the user. Their wide frames and swiveling casters are perfect for moving along long hallways or warehouses.

Though most of the options we included have vinyl liners, we also wanted to make sure and include a couple of canvas options as well. Canvas liners are really nice and rugged, and are generally easier to repair than other materials. Keep in mind though, unless they are specifically designed to resist mold and mildew, like the Crayata Commercial, canvas options can be prone to these issues. The Luxor HL14 is made of basic canvas, so it wouldn't be well-suited for handling wet laundry.

If you're interested in using a basket truck for laundry, but these options are bigger than what you're looking for, consider a smaller laundry hamper. Or, if you just want somewhere to store things, and aren't concerned with wheeling it around, a regular plastic storage bin might be what you're looking for.

5. Higood Knock Down
