Editor's Notes

May 26, 2020:

Wrapping paper organization comes in two types, those items that you tuck away for storage and those that you keep out to make the wrapping process easier. We've kept both, but we ultimately removed the Camerons Products Heavy Duty, which struggles to fit big rolls, and the Elf Stor 1037, due to concerns about the zippers. As for organizational items that are made for storage only, we like the Tiny Tim Totes Canvas, for rolls only, and the Household Essentials Box, for both rolls and accessories. These make packing everything away a cinch, and they both have stylish contrasting trim. If you don't have very long rolls, the Sterilite 56-Quart can be useful, too. Designed to slide under the bed, this plastic storage bin has wheels and a latching lid that stays on securely.

If you're looking for an organizer that makes the wrapping process easier — and neater — there's the Covermates Deluxe or the Zober Premium. They hold all of your gear in one tidy package, so you don't have to dig through boxes and bags while you work. Or, if you'd prefer a hanging model, the Regal Bazaar or the Richards Homewares Hanging should do the trick. Neither will hold tons of heavy rolls and items, so consider them for lightweight supplies. For something a bit more robust, the Honey-Can-Do Cart is useful, especially since it rolls. It is something of an investment, however.

Special Honors

PopsWorkshopCo Framed PegBoard The PopsWorkshopCo Framed PegBoard has four pre-installed rods that are each capable of holding a double roll, as well as hooks for all of the wrapping accessories you need close at hand, such as scissors and ribbon. The hardware required for hanging it is included, too, which means you shouldn't have any trouble putting it on your wall. etsy.com

Uline Mobile Due to the price and the size, the Uline Mobile might be overkill for some homes, but for users who find the wrapping process more fun than buying or giving the gift, this robust choice might just fit the bill. There are two options to select from, 20 or 50 compartments, each on swivel casters for portability. uline.com

Anna Griffin Chic Wrap The Anna Griffin Chic Wrap is just as pretty as the paper inside, with patterning so attractive that you can leave it out, instead of hiding it away. As for usability, it boasts an integrated trimmer, a carrying handle, and a tool storage space for pens, scissors, and more. annagriffin.com
