The 10 Best Waterproof Passport Holders
This wiki has been updated 23 times since it was first published in December of 2017. Very little can ruin a vacation faster than a lost or destroyed passport. That’s why you need a waterproof holder to keep your valuable documents secure and dry. We have included models that let you participate in a variety of activities, from walking in a drizzle to swimming or even scuba diving. Some also double as phone cases, while others are stylish enough to show off. When users buy our independently chosen editorial selections, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.

September 29, 2019:
For true waterproofing, we still like the Mpow, although we've selected a newer model, the Mpow Fluorescent, which offers a glow-in-the-dark band around the edges. But it still provides IPX8 protection, so it's a smart bet whether you use it for your minimalist wallet, smartphone, or passport. After some debate, we have also kept the Blue Sky Basics Pouch with Waist Strap, even though rough use can cause it to fail. For this reason, you may want to add a layer of protection by putting the contents in a zipper-seal plastic sandwich bag.
We've also opted to add a dry bag. This might seem like a strange choice at first glance, but the Sea to Summit Lightweight 1 Liter offers reliable protection and versatility. It's a good option for anyone heading out on a boat or those who will be backpacking in poor weather. And at the other end of the spectrum, we've included the Poyiccot Plastic for lightweight protection. It will help keep a passport cover in good shape, but don't try to swim with it.
