The 7 Best Vertical Climbers
This wiki has been updated 21 times since it was first published in October of 2018. Vertical climbers offer a number of benefits over other fitness machines. They provide a full-body workout without putting undue stress on your joints, and they don't compromise on your ability to burn a lot of calories in a short period of time. They require less space than an exercise bike or treadmill, and can be folded up and placed out of the way when not in use. Editor's Notes
February 03, 2021:
As with the last time we visited this list, the category of vertical climbers is dominated by semi-generic, rebranded models that are all practically the same. And, again as with last time, we avoided including any of these. Instead, we focused on quality units that tend to offer different features. Without a doubt, if you want something that feels like a machine you might use at your local public gym, the Sole CC81 is it. It feels incredibly stable and well made, and makes use of a patented eddy current braking system to offer 20 resistance levels. The MaxiClimber XL-200 is another model that offers multiple resistance levels, but in this case they are created through hydraulics. While not the most rugged of machines, the Best Choice Products Total Body SKY3054 is a smart choice for those who need to make the most of their space and want to add both an exercise bike and a climber to their home gym. However, we wouldn't recommend it or the Body Champ Leisa Hart BCR890 for someone who exercises daily at high intensity levels, as they just aren't built to withstand that.

While researching vertical climbers we found that their were very many similar items that were simply rebranded. We did our best to avoid all of these, and instead focused on those offered by reputable companies known for making fitness equipment. We also made choosing stable and well-made models a priority.
