In this ranking, we selected various designs and sizes to keep valuable tires safe, protected, and out of the way. When choosing a suitable rack, it is important to consider the weight it needs to carry. A regular tire typically weighs around 15 to 25 pounds, However, off-road or winter tires can be considerably heavier. Add to that the weight of the rims and that number could easily increase to anywhere between 50 and 100 pounds per wheel. Another consideration is the available space in your storage area. Many options in this ranking are designed to be wall-mounted while others utilize available ceiling and floor space.

In this latest update, we replaced a few models due to concerns over availability. The Edsal TRB6012 was switched with the slightly larger Champ Professional. These handy brackets come as a set of four and each one can hold up to 110 pounds, making them a great space-saving choice for even the heaviest of rims.

Wall mounted, four-tire options are by far the most practical option as they give plenty of choices for location and can be mounted at whatever height is suitable for your needs. They come in plenty of different styles, with some, such as the MaxxHaul 70489 and the Pit Posse 4-Foot being able to fold neatly against the wall when not in use. Others, like the HyLoft 01012 and the HyLoft 01000 feature telescoping poles that allow the width to be adjusted, while the latter utilizes a clip-on master rail that allows adjustments to be made at any time, making it a solid choice for those who need to store differently sized tires throughout the year.

Both strong and affordable, the HyLoft 01012 can hold up to four standard-sized tires and has a weight capacity of 375 pounds. It's adjustable from 36 to 48 inches wide, and its red powder-coated frame and chrome support tubes are resistant to scratches. The HyLoft 01031 expands from 32 to 48 inches and holds up to 300 pounds, and it also folds flat against the wall to save space when not in use. The HyLoft 01000 is another foldable model with a solid steel construction and a maximum width of 58 inches, but keep in mind that its predrilled holes are only compatible with 16-inch on-center studs, so if yours are spaced differently, you'll have to modify it by drilling your own holes.

If you have a lot of tires to store, consider the Edsal TRB6012, which can hold up to 24 depending on their size. Each of its three shelves can support up to 1,000 pounds, and its boltless rivet-lock design makes for easy assembly with just a rubber mallet.
