The 10 Best Stemless Wine Glasses
This wiki has been updated 27 times since it was first published in January of 2017. While some snobs may turn their noses up at stemless glasses, they can be both elegant and practical, providing a more stable vessel for enjoying wine than standard glasses. We've made sure to include a few that won't shatter even if they do take a fall, making them perfect for parties, poolside and patios. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.
Editor's Notes
July 13, 2019:
At this time, we've kept a selection of stemless wine glasses that run the gamut from sleek and graceful to virtually indestructible, so there is something for all events, including fashionable formal dinners and backyard pool parties. For the former, we like the Riedel O Tumbler, Zeppoli Clear, or Fitz and Floyd Gold Luster. The Riedel O is the more popular choice, one that's made to look good on any table and last for the long-haul. Of course, these options will transfer heat from your hands to your beverage; if you'd like to avoid this issue, you might try the Casa Bellante Double-Wall. You'll need to treat it with care, however, as water tends to get inside the walls if it's cleaned in the dishwasher. But its interesting look might be worth the extra hassle. For those who need something more rugged for travel and outdoor events, we added the Clair by Goverre. Billing itself as an "adult sippy cup," it is just the ticket for a picnic or barbecue, or perhaps as an addition to a set of camping dishes. There's also the Lifefactory Indoor/Outdoor, although this particular glass does not seem as durable as it claims to be. If you select this option, we recommend that you wash it by hand.
