Snowboard bindings form an essential part of a snowboarder's equipment and although their primary function is to keep the rider in direct connection with the board, their design plays a major role in providing feedback and actuating response whilst on the slopes. As with most sporting equipment, technology progresses rapidly, and small improvements can lead to big changes. Furthermore, choosing the right binding for your board and style will not only help you progress more quickly but will also enhance your overall riding experience.
In our current update, we have replaced several items with this season's latest models. The System MTN Rear Entry were switched with the System Pro All Mountain and feature an aluminum body with an upgraded footbed to minimize board vibrations. The latest pair of Salomon Rhythm have kept the same name but incorporate an adjustable toe ramp for the best transition on to the leading edge. We replaced the K2 Lien FS with the K2 Sonic which now have a canted footbed to match your natural leg position during riding. The Flow Alpha MTN featured the tried and tested linked ankle and toe strap, and it has remained the same with the updated Flow Alpha Stormtrooper, and for good reason, as it offers a smooth entry and distributes pressure evenly across the foot. The Burton Lexa EST were the top choice for women, we have replaced them with the improved Burton Lexa X, which are lighter and more responsive thanks to their improved mounting system. Finally, the most recent iteration of the Union Force bindings use a stronger material for the adjustable backs and have magnesium buckles to reduce the weight even further.
