Editor's Notes

February 22, 2021:

In a category like this, it is easy to wind up with a bunch of nearly identical models, and we wanted to make make sure that didn't happen. Instead, we only included the best one or two options in each particular type of scalp massager, so you wouldn't be inundated with a bunch of models that were seemingly the same. It was with this in mind that we eliminated the Tweezer Guru Wet and Dry. It doesn't offer anything different than the Heeta Shampoo Brush, which we kept, nor is it better than the Queenwill Soft Brush, which is easier to hold and comes with two attachments.

We also removed the LiBa Head Scratcher 2-Pack. Other than coming as bundle of two, it doesn't offer any notable benefits over the Body Back Spider. We replaced it with the Usaga 20 Spider, which has 20 tines versus the 12 the LiBa models have. It also features a more ergonomic handle that makes for more comfortable usage.

The Breo Portable Mini and Kesitis Electric stand out for being both effortless to hold against the scalp and powered by rechargeable batteries. They also both have a lot of touch points to create a very soothing experience, and come with convenient charging bases. That being said, if you want something electric, but that is a little more affordable than the above two options, you may want to consider the Ikeepi Massager or Tezam Octopus instead.

Many people will agree there’s nothing like a relaxing scalp massage at the end of the day to help ease tension and improve sleep quality. Massagers are an affordable, easy way to soothe your scalp anytime. We included a variety of models, including the Heeta and Tweezer Guru, both of which somewhat resemble hairbrushes and feature soft bristles that glide over your scalp. They’re likely the simplest and most versatile ones to go with, as they don’t require batteries and can be used either in or out of the tub or shower.

For a battery-powered choice, consider the ergonomically designed Tezam Octopus, which offers an easy-grip handle and five vibrating points. Or, you can opt for one that’s rechargeable instead, with either the Breo Portable or the Kesitis Electric, both of sit in a sturdy base when not in use.

Lastly, look to the Body Back Deluxe for another manual option that glides effortlessly over your head with soft, beaded tips.

4. Usaga 20 Spider

5. Heeta Shampoo Brush

6. F-King Claw

7. Body Back Spider

8. Ikeepi Massager

9. Tezam Octopus
