Rockville rolled out some interesting additions to their product line since our last update, and we have changed our ranking to include some of these, starting with the RPG15BT V2. This portable powerhouse makes the ideal accessory for those wishing to play music in smaller venues with a minimal backline or DJ setup, and provides plenty of connectivity options for backing tracks and mixers. It should be noted, however, that this does not come with a built-in battery, like some in its class do, so remote performances are out of the question unless a power source such as a generator is available.
On the other hand, the Rock Party 8 provides all you need to host an outdoor party, or to accompany a group of friends on a trip, as it includes a large battery that can sustain up to six hours of use, provides Bluetooth connectivity for mobile devices, and even has its own light show with a multitude of colors and modes to choose from.
Lastly, we added the RSG12 Pro Audio, as this pair of PA speakers represent excellent value and build-quality, although these passive units do require an amplifier. They are made out of high-grade MDF with rugged carpeting and metal corners, include pole-mounting inserts in their bases, and feature a large 12-inch woofer, three Piezo bullet tweeters, and a compression horn each.

Rockville makes a speaker for nearly every purpose, and in light of their capacity and quality, they're generally quite reasonably priced. Their TM line of home theater speakers is a full-featured one, offering powerful mid-range and substantial bass. Their APM monitors, while on the more expensive side of their overall offering, are surprisingly accurate, and beloved by more than a few amateur producers. The RPG, RBG, and RSG are all fantastic for beginning professionals, or as backups to the seasoned veteran's primary collection. Some are active and some passive, but with the right setup, they all can sound very, very good. Their Slim subwoofer and component-style Competition package are both fantastic additions to automotive stereos, and would serve as serious upgrades to any stock system. We've also listed some of their higher-performing marine speakers, meant for external mounting, rather than installation in a boat's body, which is a bit easier and far less intrusive. If you're looking for portable, versatile fun, the Rock Anywhere pair provides it, and in stereo format, no less, while requiring no wires whatsoever. Finally, if you just need something to complement a budget PC, the Rock Media setup is a great accompaniment to a business PC, and is also sufficient for light multimedia use, as well as computer gaming.
