This wiki has been updated 24 times since it was first published in January of 2019. Although you might not be the target demographic for Hot Wheels anymore, one of these remote control cars geared specifically for adults is almost certain to bring out your inner child, nevertheless. Our selection includes vehicles with extra-large tires, shock-absorbing independent suspension systems, and powerful motors that allow you to race and perform stunts on a variety of terrains. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.

Editor's Notes

October 08, 2020:

We had to remove a few items from our list due to availability concerns, most notably the Demaxis Phantom and the Distianert Rock Crawler, but fortunately there are some fantastic replacement options on the market. The Traxxas Rustler XL-5 is an excellent all-around option, with great control and decent off-road capability, and it edges out the Phantom for speed. Meanwhile, the Redcat Racing Everest-10 is a superb pick for handling seriously jagged terrain, thanks to its powerful, high-torque drivetrain and sturdy chassis.

Though the JLB U3 remains a solid choice for high-impact stunt driving, we felt that the Arrma Typhon 3S BLX offered more durability for a slightly better price point. We also removed the Vatos Off Road due to some concerns about battery life and overall durability, opting for the better-reviewed Imden Off Road Monster Truck instead. We also swapped out the Koowheel Speed Crawler for the DeeRC DE36W; while both feature 720p wireless cameras, the DE36W can adjust the shooting angle, and its first-person driving mode lets the user direct it from their phone or tablet.

Included the Demaxis Phantom for its impressive 30-mph top speed and 4-wheel independent suspension for superior handling on all terrains. Although the JLB U3 is very expensive, its helical spring damping system and shock-absorbing wheel gaskets allow for super-responsive driving on all surfaces, while its metal chassis and waterproof design can withstand virtually any outdoor environment. Also added the Distianert Rock Crawler for its 250-foot signal range. Both the BBM Protector and Vatos Off Road are equipped with attractive top-mounted LEDs. Added the Koowheel Speed Crawler, as it was one of the few options I found that comes with an HD FPV camera for capturing racing action. Added the Hosim All Terrain because of the S-truck suspension and shockproof rubber wheels. The Similky Stunt Buggy is more of an "acrobatic" choice, but I thought its futuristic design, bright green color, and low price point could make it a great choice for beginners and adults who wish to share it with their kids.

10. Hosim All Terrain
