The 10 Best Remote Control Candles
This wiki has been updated 30 times since it was first published in March of 2017. While candles are aesthetically pleasing, they're not the safest way to light up a room. Remote control versions, however, still provide the romantic ambiance of traditional flames, but without posing a fire hazard or producing any smoke. They also offer versatility, like the option to dim or brighten their bulbs, and can even the colors they emit. We rounded up a good variety for any event. Editor's Notes
March 24, 2019:
While there is no shortage of remote-controlled candles, it's tough to beat those from Luminara, so we added an outdoor set from this brand. Unlike many that have a wax coating, these won't melt in the sun, nor will they suffer if exposed to rain. And while it's true that they're on the more expensive side, they're also known to last longer than most. But, if you need a more budget-friendly alternative, the Vinkor Flameless and LampLust Ivory are both options to consider. The aforementioned are all relatively plain; if you're in the market for something fun or eye-catching, the Good Electronic Burgundy works well for modern or classic designs, while the Frostfire Mooncandles and LED Lytes Square are the choice for funky or whimsical decorative schemes. Finally, we removed the Gideon Two-Tone due to problems with availability; for an alternative, especially for a housewarming gift, consider the Comenzar Birch.
