The 5 Best Recumbent Trikes
This wiki has been updated 24 times since it was first published in February of 2019. Despite the popularity of spin classes as a form of exercise, you can't beat a ride in nature. However, if you find a traditional two-wheeled bicycle uncomfortable, or you have trouble balancing on one, a recumbent trike can provide a similar experience, so everyone can join in the fun. We've included models specifically designed for children and adults. When users buy our independently chosen editorial choices, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.
Editor's Notes
February 22, 2019:
The Mobo brand is the leader in this space, and they offer a wide variety of models based on the rider's size. If purchasing for a child, the youth cruiser is the best choice and can last them for years, but they'll need to be tall enough to reach the pedals. If not, consider the Mobito, which can support smaller riders. The Triton Pro is comparable to the Cruiser and lets you join in with your children so they won't feel left out or different. The Green Machine is a fun ride, but it's for kids with experience who can appreciate the difficulty of the steering system. The Fat Tire Electric is a major purchase, and while it's the best of its kind, there's no reason to spend the money if you don't plan on using those features a lot.
