Editor's Notes
August 08, 2019:
While they're not specifically designed for vegetable cultivation like some of their tiered planter counterparts, I do see plant stands as an amalgamation of both aesthetics and function for a variety of plant life nevertheless. Each one tells a different story about its environment and they all provide a figurative and literal balance of objects. In the figurative sense, they are centerpieces for a garden or patio, complementing their surroundings and creating a visually-calming and inviting scene for you, your family, and guests. In the literal sense, their variety of shapes and sizes support many species of plant life, while helping to ensure that they receive optimal sunlight to thrive indoors and out. Therefore, finding the ideal balance between form and function is part of what this topic is all about (and part of the fun of the hunt, too).
While this can be true of many of our options, the MyGift Freestanding is perfect for holding small potted plants and it can also be used as a storage solution for books, bath towels, and other accessories, depending on where it's placed. The Sorbus Garden Cart kind of reminds me of one of those old-style rolling popcorn poppers; however the similarity ends there, as the cart's wheels don't move. Fortunately, its six wide platforms do easily support large flower pots and it can double as an outdoor serving cart at parties as well. Now, the Giantex Rack is easily moved, thanks to four rolling casters, two of which are equipped with brakes for stability. Additionally, it shares commonalities with the Songmics Display, Sunnyglade 4-Tier, and Isino Organizer, all of which have widely-space wooden slats, which promote good water drainage and ensure your plants get plenty of sunlight. The open platform design of the Songmics Display allows it to accommodate large plants on its lower tier. Both the Sunnyglade 4-Tier and Ufine Bamboo offer collapsible designs, so they're extremely easy to set up and take down for storage. I also added the Worth Heavy Duty for its adjustable, hinged platforms. Finally, each level on the Aishn 3-Tier has its own railing, so you can remain confident in its ability to support large flower pots without worrying about them falling off the edge of the stand.

DWR Wire Planter Created by Danish design studio Norm Architects, and inspired by Japanese gardens, the DWR Wire Planter comes in just black and white with three different height options. It is named for its minimal wire base, which keeps the focus on its contents.
