Editor's Notes

March 15, 2019:

A few of the models on our previous list received some nice upgrades, most notably the PolyTune 3, which now features a Bonafide true bypass system and an even higher degree of accuracy than its predecessors. It was already the king of our list, and it held its ground thanks in large part to these updates. The Boss TU-3, on the other hand, slipped a spot because it's a bit overdue for an refresh. It still maintains a high position thanks to the fact that it's such a well-built and reliable device. The Kliq TinyTune climbed up quite a bit, as well, largely out of respect for its bright, full-color display that people have come to expect in their tuning hardware now that it's so ubiquitous and inexpensive in the clip-on tuner market.

4. Peterson VSS-C Strobo

5. Zoom MS50G MultiStomp

6. Korg Pitchblack Advance

7. Monoprice Chromatic

8. DigiTech HT-6 HardWire

9. Donner DT-1 Chromatic

10. Snark SN-10S
