This wiki has been updated 18 times since it was first published in May of 2020. Overwatch revolutionized the video game world by introducing the first MOBA-style game rendered in a first-person perspective. Featuring art direction comparable to Disney cartoons and some forms of anime, it’s no surprise the franchise has spawned a collection of merchandise that includes animal plushies. Here you’ll find a curated selection of some of the best stuffed options available. When users buy our independently chosen editorial selections, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.

Editor's Notes

June 18, 2020:

It’s unfortunate how little Overwatch merchandise exists considering the popularity of the game. Although the franchise has licensed some Lego sets, a handful of Funko Pop Dolls, and a limited line of nerf guns, the plushie selection is limited considering how many characters the game has. To top it off, the few stuffed dolls available are only made in limited runs, like the many variations of Pachimari that come and go with the seasons. One of the few upsides to this trend is that rarity often renders such offerings collectible in the long run.

Moving forward, although Overwatch features many cute characters conceived in a cartoonish style that appeals to children, like many forms of entertainment that taps into youth markets, it is also heavily geared toward adults and includes many adult themes. Controversial characters like Reaper and Roadhog who are, respectively, represented as Funko Reaper and Funko Road Hog on our list, have particularly violent pasts and produce some questionable voice lines in-game. Elsewhere, while the character designs of certain female figures in the franchise are arguably over-sexualized, most plushie concepts avoid this approach, erring on the side of cute and cuddly. We are not at all trying to morally police the way you raise your children or consume media, but we do feel obliged to give a friendly heads up.

Where minimum age restrictions are concerned, we urge you to follow manufacturers’ guidelines, as a few offerings have smaller parts that constitute choking hazards. Both the Ganymede Official and Blizzard Entertainment Wrecking Ball, for instance, have plastic eyeballs, which, if pried loose, could end up obstructing airways. Elsewhere, the bell on top of the Official Overwatch Pachielf should be considered a real danger given that only a few threads hold it in place and it can easily be torn off. If you are looking for plushies or other toys for babies, you might be better off sticking to designs made with specific considerations in mind.
