Editor's Notes

August 20, 2019:

If you have thick, heavy towels, the ToiletTree Products Bamboo is a good choice as its stainless steel pegs are stronger than the thin hooks found on some racks. It's attractive and doesn't take up a lot of space, and it hangs just 4.7 inches from the top of the door, so it will keep longer items from dragging the floor. However, this also means shorter users may have trouble reaching their towels. The mDesign Easy Reach, on the other hand, are 17 inches long, so they're perfect for those who are short or have mobility issues in their arms or shoulders.

The Homz Folding is specifically designed to provide plenty of space between towels and washcloths to allow them to dry quickly and thoroughly. It folds up out of the way when you're not using it, but it does take up a lot of space when in use, so it's probably not the best choice for small bathrooms. The Franklin Brass has three bars that are tiered to increase airflow, and the two hooks on the bottom are great for washcloths, loofahs, and other small items. The hanging brackets prevent some doors from closing all the way, though, and the lowest bar sticks out over 8 inches, so it may hit the wall when you open the door.

If you don't have much cabinet space in your bathroom, consider the Milijia Storage Shelf, which has two baskets you can use to store toiletries, makeup, and skincare products. It can hold up to 50 pounds and comes with PVC padding to prevent it from rattling or scratching your door.
