The 10 Best Honey Dispensers

This wiki has been updated 26 times since it was first published in March of 2018. The biggest downside to using honey and maple syrup is the mess. With one of these dispensers, though, you won't need to worry about sticky hands, tables, and countertops anymore. Many are designed to prevent ants and other pests from getting into the contents, and they keep your sweetener fresh and allow you to drizzle it neatly into your tea or onto a piece of toast. Editor's Notes

November 19, 2020:

Due to overall frustrating performance, we've opted to remove the Kitchen Meister Mess-Free and the Fifo Squeeze Bottle at this time. The dipper that comes with the former doesn't reach the bottom of the jar, and as for the latter, it's relatively prone to leaking. There are still plenty of handsome, useful jars available, however, including the Studio Silversmiths Crystal Jar and the Mkono Clear. As for squeeze bottles, we've selected the Oxo Good Grips Chef's. Offered in several sizes, it won't allow you to dispense honey as fast as some others, but it keeps its contents secure and is easy enough to use.

As for options on the more decorative side, we replaced the Mary Lake-Thompson Ceramic Pot with the Kate Aspen Sweet As Can Bee. Both are attractive, but given the relatively small size of these, the Sweet As Can Bee model is arguably the better value. We selected Le Creuset Stoneware, as well, which is attractive without being too over-decorated or garish. From the name, you might guess that it's pricier than many, and you'd be right; however, it offers the quality you'd expect from Le Creuset, and should be useful in your kitchen or dining room for many years to come, no matter what kind of honey you prefer, from Manuka to truffle.

October 10, 2019:

Whether you’re filling them with honey or maple syrup, a reliable dispenser bottle will ensure you’re able to pour its contents easily, without dripping or a sticky mess. Joining our selection today is the Studio Silversmiths Crystal Jar, an attractive, handcrafted choice that will allow your honey or syrup’s deep amber color to show through nicely. Adorned with bees, it makes for a nice gift idea for a host or for a housewarming party. This crystal dispenser is a good value for a relatively budget-friendly price.

Also coming on board is the Mary Lake-Thompson Ceramic Pot, which is another handsome choice that will look great displayed on a table. It too is covered with some honey bees (these are embossed and hand-painted), including one that serves as a handy knob on its lid. And, it’s not just a pretty face, as it’s created with safety in mind – covered in a food-safe glaze and featuring all lead-free materials. It’s also conveniently dishwasher- and microwave-safe. Both of these new additions are equipped with wooden dippers.

Leaving the list in today’s update is the GiniHome Non-Drip, which is no longer available at this time.

Beehive Handmade Bee Pot Many bee-themed dispensers take advantage of fun, eye-catching shapes and styles, but the Beehive Handmade Bee Pot relies instead on a clean and modern minimalist design. It boasts a wood and ceramic construction that is not only stylish but also functional, since the base is appropriate for use in the microwave and dishwasher. beehivehandmade.com

Vagabond House Pewter Bear Pot The Vagabond House Pewter Bear Pot is just as much a conversation piece as it is a usable serving item. This option is highly detailed, from the friendly expression on the bear's face to the flower that tops the serving spoon, but it does have the relatively high price tag to go with the top-notch quality. vagabondhouse.com

Betterbee Flat Panel Bear Whether you run an apiary or a restaurant, the Betterbee Flat Panel Bear is a cost-effective choice in a classic shape that many users know and love. Offered in several sizes, these empty plastic containers have flat panels on both the front and back for adding labels and/or nutritional information. betterbee.com
