Editor's Notes

February 08, 2019:

Because emergencies can happen anywhere, we added a range of options that make sense for everyone from business owners to outdoorspeople. In commercial settings, the Light Fixture Industries Hardwired and eTopLighting 2-Pack are useful, although as with all options, code compliance can vary by location. For home or outdoor use, we selected the UST 30-Day Duro, Tobfit Flares, and Amertac Amerelle Slimline, despite some argument as to whether this last can be considered a nightlight. We ultimately omitted the popular GearLight LED Tactical Flashlight due to concerns about longevity and water-resistance.

4. Tobfit Flares

5. Ideal Security Inc. Lights Out!

6. Survival Frog Pocket Lantern

7. Ciata Lighting Ultra-Bright

8. JackonLux Multi-Function LED Bulb

9. Etekcity Camping Lantern

10. eTopLighting 2-Pack
