This wiki has been updated 24 times since it was first published in March of 2018. For many parents, the most dreaded part of getting kids ready for the day, or bed, is having them brush their teeth. Our selection of electric toothbrushes are loaded with features that turn this chore into something more engaging and fun for little ones. Just remember, children under the age of three need to be supervised at all times with any models that have a replaceable brush head. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.

Editor's Notes

September 30, 2019:

The Phillips Sonicare Rechargeable and Oral-B Sparkle and Shine take the top spots because these two choices are the high-quality, reliable adult versions made a little gentler and more fun for children. While both have some very useful kid-friendly adaptations, like the slowly increasing vibrations on the Phillips and the pressure sensor on the Oral-B, the choice will probably come down to whether the parent prefers the sonic vibrations of the Phillips or the rotary action of the Oral-B.

We decided to include a few "disposable" options like the Arm & Hammer Spinbrush and the Colgate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. While the batteries on these options are replaceable, the heads are not, so even though they don't last very long, but the time the unit dies, it's probably time for a new brushing head anyway. These character brushes are a good choice for kids with ever-changing favorites.

This type of brush is always budget-friendly, which also makes them useful for travel. Especially the Gum Crayola that comes with plastic cap to keep the bristles clean.
