The 10 Best Electric Pumps For SUPs
This wiki has been updated 20 times since it was first published in March of 2019. Taking a stand-up paddleboard out for a spin is a great way to get a punishing upper body workout, so there's no need to murder your biceps beforehand trying to air up the board manually. These electric pumps inflate SUPs in a few minutes, saving you from a labor-intensive chore. Your arms will thank you — until you force them to propel you across the water, that is. Editor's Notes
April 12, 2019:
While the Nalanda Quick-Fill and Vilano Smart look remarkably alike, they have several important distinctions. The latter is smaller and less expensive than the former, but it can't reach the same PSI level as the Nalanda. Both are quality options; it's just a matter of how much pressure you need for your particular board.
The two SeaMax models are similar as well, but the SUP20D is basically a luxury version of the SUP20S. It's more powerful, more durable — and more expensive. Is it worth it? We certainly think so, but if you only take your craft out once or twice a year, the extra performance might not be worth the added cost.
The Tower Premium has everything we looked for in a pump, including an easy-to-use knob, accurate pressure gauge, and multiple power source options. Throw in the fact that the hose won't tangle up on you and it can hit 25 PSI, and it was a no-brainer choice for the top spot.
