Editor's Notes
April 05, 2019:
With the wide variety of sizes available in this category, it'd be a mistake for us to just stack the top of the selection with the biggest models and have them get progressively smaller as you go down the ranking. Instead, we tried to think about relative power and versatility, which led us to choose the Husqvarna K760 II as our number one. It combines too many excellent features with too much power to be ignored, and its size puts it in the sweet spot for both professional and amateur use. The most capable pro model on our list is likely the Skilsaw model at number two, but the likelihood that it would find as much use among regular homeowners as the Husq model might kept it from number one.
Elsewhere, the model from Evolution Power Tools is a nice entry-level option for budding masons, but it stayed toward the back of our list mainly due to a lack of durability over years of use.
