The 10 Best Compact Strollers
This wiki has been updated 22 times since it was first published in March of 2018. A quality stroller is a must if you ever want to leave the house with babies and young toddlers, but certain situations require something a little less bulky than a standard model. These compact options are more lightweight and versatile than their full-size counterparts, making them ideal for road trips and even air travel. All of them fold up easily for simple storage and carrying. When users buy our independently chosen editorial selections, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.
Editor's Notes
June 02, 2020:
With plenty of high-quality options with significantly low profiles out there, we found it necessary to remove a couple of items that were just a little too big to be considered compact when compared to the competition. Something like the Summer Infant 3Dtote, for example, was a lot longer and wider than the Delta Children Clutch that replaced it, and even than the Summer Infant 3D Lite, which stayed on our list for utilizing a smarter frame design than its cousin model, cutting down on its length and increasing maneuverability.
Parents will have to decide whether they're shopping for something that will make their traveling lives easier, or looking for something compact that can serve as a daily stroller. The GB Pockit would make a better travel option, as it doesn't offer a lot of extra comfort features, and as its canopy offers limited sun coverage. The Zoe XLC Traveler, by comparison, takes up only a little more space than the GB, but does so with a long four-panel canopy that comes equipped with a peekaboo window that lets you see through it to your child in his or her seat. It's also Disney approved, which makes it a smart choice for braving amusement parks.
Special Honors
Lalo Daily This is a durable option, the angular frame design of which offers superior handling to almost anything else in its weight class. That said, it does come in at 24 pounds, making it a bit heavier than many slimline options and a better choice for everyday use than for extended travel by plane. Ninety-eight percent of its aluminum is sourced from recycled materials, though, which should please Eco-friendly types. meetlalo.com
Bugaboo Ant The wide sides along the lower portion of this selection aren't just an aesthetic choice; they're designed to act as the walls of a carry-on suitcase, which is what this turns into when folded up, storing everything in its basket safely for the duration of your flight or train ride. You can choose from among five colors for its canopy, but only two for its hardware. bugaboo.com
