Because this list had fallen out of date, we completely overhauled it with our latest update. Among those removed were the Resource for Cooking, MSC International Joie Steamer, StarPack Home, Tuli Kitchen ST1, and Circulon Tools 51940. The majority of these models were taken off due to availability issues, but one or two had recent reports regarding their durability, which lead us to supplant them with stronger units.
Steamers can generally be a bit one-note, so we diversified our list by adding microwavable options, more silicone selections, and units that had additional accessories thrown in. The new recommendations include the QuickerNest Silicone, Topoko Folding, EuChoiz Easy, Hutzler Basket, and Kitchen Deluxe Premium.
