November 02, 2020:
Whilst updating our recommendations in this latest round of changes, we chose to retain the Rocky Mountain Sheepskin Universal due to its suitability for those who cycle in cold conditions, as well as the Domain Cycling Extra as a durable option for users of recumbent bikes and rowing machines.
In the interest of including options for the whole family, we added the Winningo Child's Comfortable Pad, which is specifically designed to fit kid's bikes. Its foam base is topped with silicone gel to offer additional padding and relieve pressure. It's available in bright pink or blue, as well as black, though these colors do tend to fade quite quickly in the sun.
The newly added AceList Bicycle Pad caught our eye on account of its memory foam construction, which promotes even weight distribution across the seat. It's designed for wide saddles in which the rider is generally sitting upright, such as commuter bikes. Another worthy option in this size range is the Bikeroo Large Gel, which is roughly 1/2 an inch wider than the aforementioned AceList offering. Both have anti-slip undersides, lateral straps, and drawstrings to help ensure a snug fit and prevent unwanted movement.
For narrow seats, the Temple Tape Elite Series and the Zacro BS031 provide support without impeding the legs or rubbing the thighs. The former comes with a travel bag, which is ideal for those intending to take their cushion to the gym for a spin bike workout, while the latter includes a water- and dust-resistant cover that's well-suited to road riders who leave their bikes outside for short spells.

We evaluated a variety of bike seat cushions so that indoor and outdoor cyclists alike can find the best option for them. The majority of the choices on this list go on top of the existing seat to improve comfort, this allows you use it on multiple bikes quickly and easily.
Our top choice is an upgraded, cushioned foam and gel saddle that still manages to retain a sleek look on just about any bike because it's offered in athletic, relaxed and moderate shapes, to fit perfectly.
The Bikaroo Large Gel gets high marks for being quick to install and remove, making it a good choice for spin classes, plus it has both adjustment strings and fastener straps so it will stay in place.
