This wiki has been updated 18 times since it was first published in June of 2019. If you're in need of a table saw, but you either don't have the space for a big model in your workshop or you want something you can take with you to a job site, then the benchtop models here are just what you're looking for. We've included options built with home use in mind, as well as others that are relatively lightweight and come with stands, so you can set them up anywhere. Editor's Notes
June 18, 2019:
While some of these models weigh close to 100 pounds, the issue of portability became rather important. The Bosch model in our number one spot was able to overcome the fact that it outweighed our lightest options by nearly ten pounds by coming with one of the most flexible, durable job site stands on the market. It also didn't hurt that it crushed the competition for rip capacity. Bosch's other model didn't fair quite as well, coming in at number six due mainly to issues with the alignment of its fence, which could result in uneven cuts. Both DeWalt models and the Skilsaw unit at number two weigh in at under 50 pounds, and none of the three seem to sacrifice anything in the power department for being so light, but the lesser DeWalt at number five lacks a good stand.
