April 15, 2021:

Whether you plan on renovating your bathroom or are just looking to replace your existing faucet, the main consideration will often be the aesthetics. Most of the options in this ranking are available in a range of metallic finishes, allowing you to coordinate your fixtures and accessories. The dominating factor is the hole configuration, with a single hole and a three-hole layout being the most common. Often a base plate is available for covering the extra holes, however, this solution may not suit all types of sinks. In this update, we added a number of new models to the ranking with additional features, thus making for a more comprehensive selection.

The Voton Modern Waterfall is notable for its sharp lines and wide, curved spout. It is available in chrome, brushed nickel, or an eye-catching matte black, which has recently become a popular choice for contemporary bathrooms. It is also available in two sizes, with the tall model being suitable for deck mounting for use with a vanity basin. Similarly, the BWE Single Lever is another tall faucet for vanities, with a total height of 13 inches. It has an oil-rubbed bronze finish and looks similar to an old-fashioned water pump, making it a good choice for traditional bathroom suites. The Skowll Color Change boasts LED lights that change color according to the water temperature and are powered hydroelectrically via the water flow. The Tyimok Pull Out was added to the list due to its pull-out wand, which is great for washing the kids' hair or even for grooming pets. It has two different spray functions and incorporates a drinking fountain, however, it is only available in black, which may not suit everyone. Finally, we included the WaterSong Waterfall, an elegant option with a 360-degree rotating head and an open-style spout. Its single lever design allows it to be mounted on the left or on the right, while its scratch-resistant coating ensures it will look good for the considerable future.

While we advise you to get a plumber involved, if you do install your own faucet, make sure you have everything you need in place before removing the old one. This will necessarily include the right tools for the job, but you might also consider having towels or even a tiny pump on hand in case there’s any water spillage. Similarly, some of the pipe threads your working with might be sharp and/or rusty, so be sure you’re up to date on your tetanus shots, and have a first aid kit on hand to deal with any sliced fingers.

Several factors were taken into consideration when it came to populating this list. After choosing the most reliable and durable faucets, both affordability and aesthetic versatility come into play. What good are any of the so-called best designs if they are too niche for the average remodeler? What you will find above are affordable faucets that each come in multiple makes and finishes sure to complement many bathrooms and therefore please as many people as possible.

When choosing a faucet, it’s good to consider your needs and buy something suitably durable if you don’t want to find yourself having to replace the hardware anytime in the near future. If you’re buying something for a commercial setting like a restaurant bathroom or an office kitchen, you’re likely to have higher volume and rougher use, so think about choosing a model that can take some punches and has replacement parts like handles available. On the other hand, if you’re shopping for your own residence, start monitoring your bathroom rituals now to decide what’s best. How low or high do you want the spigot to be in relation to your basin? For instance, do you want to be able to fit a glass under the spout for filling? How many entry holes do you have on your counter or sink, how wide are they, and how far apart? How many gallons per minute of flow do you need or want? Are there any laws in your area regarding water usage? Do you have water conditions that require you regularly clean your faucet of mineral buildup? While peripheral accessories such as water softeners can help mitigate minerals, you should still think ahead. A faucet is much more than its outward appearance and should be chosen accordingly.

It should be noted that the Parlos Deck Mounted is available in more finishes, but those offerings aren’t combined, so you might have to do some digging to find them. Single-hole faucets such as the Delta Modern, Pfister Jaida, BWE Waterfall, and Greenspring Single Handle see some preference since they take up little space and can be installed anywhere any other faucet might go. 4-inch centersets such as the Delta Lahara and Derengge Two Handle still seem to be the most common size available and sought after, but some widespread designs such as the Delta Widespread should be able to fit in the same slots.
