Editor's Notes
May 14, 2020:
In today’s update, we added in the Melissa & Doug Diaper Bag to replace the Melissa and Doug Feeding and Changing, which is a somewhat similar set, yet it contains some small parts that aren’t suitable for small children. This newly added set consists of a multi-pocket diaper bag with an adjustable strap and a reusable identification tag. It’s equipped with all sorts of accessories a child might want to take with a baby doll on errands or a visit to grandma’s, such as a changing mat that matches the bag, a snap-shut wipes container, a washcloth, a comb, a pretend sunscreen tube, a baby bottle, two toy keys, and more. The Adora Play Stroller was relatively small, so we chose to replace it with the purple and pink Mommy & Me Babyboo Pram, which features many more bells and whistles and is great for use with American Girl dolls. It comes with an adjustable, padded handlebar, a movable canopy, a bottom basket, and an attachable diaper bag. You can move the handlebar back and forth so your doll can face either you or the world. The seat can also be reclined so your pretend baby can sit upright.
For little animal lovers, our list certainly doesn’t disappoint, as it features the Queen's Treasures Yorkie, which is compatible with 18-inch dolls and has soft, brushable hair that covers its hard, plastic body. It comes with a gold chain leash and a soft pink bow on its head. If your child is more in the mood for a pony, check out the Celestial Morgan Horse, which comes with a long, sparkly mane and tail, as well as a removable saddle bag. Kids can pretend to feed it with the included bowl of toy carrots.
Taking dolls on the go has never been as easy and fun as with the Pink Butterfly Closet Carrier, the Manhattan Toy Crib, and the Sweet Dreams Bassinet, each of which are covered in durable, eye-catching fabric and are good for busy families whose youngsters prefer to take their dolls in tow. Whichever you choose, be sure it’s age appropriate by following the manufacturer’s stated age requirements, and always keep a close watch on children for a safe playtime.
