The 7 Best Arm Straps For Moving
This wiki has been updated 25 times since it was first published in March of 2017. Even heavy furniture and large appliances can be moved without the use of a wheeled dolly when you have the right gear. The ergonomic arm straps and harnesses on our list help you use your own body to create leverage and lifting power, so you and a companion can carry a couch down the stairs or a fridge from the truck to the kitchen. Setting up a new home just got easier and safer. When users buy our independently chosen editorial choices, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.

This update was more about removing items than adding them. We do our best to make choosing the right product easy for our readers, and in our mind, that means eliminating models that are so similar as to practically be identical. It was with this focus in mind that we removed the Gindoly M-4854, as they don't offer anything different than the Nielsen Products Ready Lifter, which come from a more reputable company. Our preferred model from this manufacturer are the Nielsen Products 3500 Pro Lift, however, their high price may make them a non-starter for some.
The Tikaton Furniture Movers offer the same level of comfort and support as the 3500 Pro Lift, if not as high of a load capacity, but come for a fraction of the price. In truth, the 800 pound limit of the Tikaton straps should be more than enough for most people.
We also eliminated the Forearm Forklift FFMCVP MovXing Cradle, but that is because they are not moving straps themselves but rather shoulder harnesses that connect to the Forearm Forklift L74995CN, so they cannot be used by themselves. That being said, it is worth mentioning that if you like the L74995CN for their high-visibility orange color and wide straps, but were hoping to buy something that secures in place over the shoulders rather than simply on the forearm, there is an option to do that with an extra purchase.

There's no knowing what sort of moving jobs life will bring, from changing offices to moving homes, or even simply moving furniture from one room of the house to the other. We looked for moving straps that can address a variety of these jobs. If you are a professional mover, then you'll appreciate that the Nielsen Products 3500 Pro Lift can support half a ton, so you'll never have to tell a client, "I can't move that." For more moderate jobs, like taking a large desk from a truck into your new home office, the MyFree 530 has you covered, as it can support 300 pounds. If several helpers may hop on the job, you'll like the Gindoly M-4854 and Nielsen Products Ready Lifter, both of which are highly adjustable to suit people of different heights comfortably. When an increased sense of balance and control is critical, and finding that perfect weight distribution is of the utmost importance, the Nielsen Products 3500 Pro Lift and TonsLift 5287 will come in handy, with their sturdy harness designs that provide excellent support during tough jobs.
