Editor's Notes
June 04, 2019:
The exhaust kits listed here represent the best sounding and performing, highest quality exhaust kits for the Ford F150 regardless of year, engine or body style. However, there are a wide range of options in terms of how loud or how much power the exhaust will deliver. For instance the Magnaflow will give very modest sound increases compared to the Gibson, but the Gibson will deliver less power gains. MBRP will give you the best all around experience, if you also want a lot of throaty sound. If you want a mellow sound, Borla or the Magnaflow will likely give you a better all around experience. If you want as loud as possible, the Flowmaster might make you giggle.
Additionally, all of the systems presented are manufactured from stainless steel and each has a warranty against rust and other defects. Regardless, not all stainless steel is the same quality. T304 stainless has superior resistance to rust and is considered to be longer lasting. We took this into account, along with price, length of warranty, quality of included hardware and construction, as well as ease of installation when deciding our rankings. Please consider your needs when deciding which particular exhaust is best for you.
There are also a lot of variations in styles of exhaust presented here from side exit, to side exit before the wheel, and even split exit. Some kits offer black tailpipes, some polished or chromed, some offer all three. Make sure you look at possible options and order the style you prefer. All the kits are available in multiple configurations.
Before purchasing any aftermarket exhaust for your vehicle please consult local laws and noise ordinances to ensure compliance.
The Ford F150 has been sold for many years, in many configurations each requiring their own specific fitments and installation hardware. Please check your specific year and configuration to ensure correct bolt-on installation.
These kits have been designed for DIY bolt-on installation, however you may want to consult with a professional installer before attempting to install any exhaust system yourself.
